Every life is special and deserves to be celebrated. We believe it’s important that a funeral reflects your loved one’s unique personality, so at Timmins Funerals we work with you to design a service that your loved one would have been proud of.
Our experienced celebrants can help you plan a service that is personal, meaningful and runs smoothly. It’s normal to feel overwhelmed and underprepared – we don’t expect that you have done this before. You can rest easy knowing though that we will be by your side every step of the way.
So we can arrange what will happen on the day, we welcome you to to meet with us
either in our offices or your home (whichever is easier for you) to discuss what you would like.
The Arrangement Conference takes around 1 to 2 hours, and everyone who would like a say in what happens should
try attend. We’ll go over every aspect of the day and guide you through the process at every step. We’ll cover your every request for your loved one’s farewell, from the time and place of the service, to the transport, flowers and music.
Farewell your cherished loved one the way they would have wanted. We believe it’s important for you to be able to choose how you farewell your family member or friend, so we understand that every service will be unique. You may have family, religious or cultural traditions you would like to include and we will always support you with this.
In a Life Celebration, we work with you to design a service that celebrates, honours and respects your loved one, and you are free to include as many or as few of your traditional practices as you like.
Life Celebrations are not ‘non-religious’ funerals – they are chosen by a huge range and number of families now, and your service will focus on honouring the beliefs of the deceased and the life they lived. Our services are often used by deeply religious families, as they are considered so uplifting and spiritual.
To help you plan what will take place on the day, it’s important you also meet with the officiant. If you have a family religious minister or official you would like to use we will happily coordinate with them on your behalf, or we can help you find a celebrant or religious official from your chosen religion to conduct the service.

By getting involved in the planning you’ll make sure your loved one’s funeral is meaningful and relevant. It’s important for the people who were close to the deceased to agree on who will perform certain tasks (such as giving the eulogy) before the day.
Your cherished loved one deserves a service which is uplifting and respectful, and leaving things to the last minute can leave everyone ill-prepared. Let us guide you through the process so everyone knows what needs to happen, so you can focus on what matters.
