Most families have a good idea of their loved one’s wishes, but even if you don’t, we’ll be able to explain the options to you so you understand.
Cremation or burial is a highly personal decision, and we respect your right to choose based on your loved ones’ preferences, your religious beliefs or cultural rites. Either way, we have great relationships with cemeteries and crematoriums all across Sydney, and regardless of what you choose, we’ll be by your side to help arrange it all.
Many people choose cremations as part of their cultural or religious beliefs, others choose it as a preferred method for personal reasons.
Cremation is generally considered as a cheaper alternative to burial, but whatever you choose, we’ll show you how the two options add up before you make a decision.
If you choose a cremation you will require an additional Medical Certificate which has been verified by a second doctor, and we will help arrange these on your behalf.
We are able to arrange cremation at most Sydney crematoriums, with modern chapels for a professional send-off.
At Timmins Funerals we can arrange internment at any cemetery within the Sydney Metropolitan Area. There are still many options for families to choose burial sites, and if you don’t have one in mind we will help you find one.
Currently, all cemeteries in NSW have unlimited tenure, which means that once a grave is sold it can only be used by one owner, and once full with either one, two or three burials it can never be resold or used again.
Burial may work out to be more expensive, but we will walk you through all the costs involved so you can make an informed decision.
If you don’t already own a gravesite you will need to visit your chosen cemetery to select one, which is a very important and emotional part of the process.
